American Trucking Associations has appointed Dave Osiecki to be its top lobbyist and lead its government affairs office after the departure of Mary Phillips.
Osiecki also is senior vice president of policy and regulatory affairs for ATA, a position he will retain, the federation said Jan. 10.
“Dave Osiecki has been a stalwart for the trucking industry since coming to ATA in 1996,” ATA President Bill Graves said in a statement. “His work leading ATA’s policy and regulatory affairs team has been exemplary, and given an evermore complex web of issues our industry is confronted with, it only makes sense to bring our policy and legislative groups together to improve efficiency and coordination.”
Phillips left ATA on Jan. 7, saying she would return to the private consulting she was doing before taking the ATA job. She said she would consult for ATA after leaving.
