Applied Plastics has announced the launch of a new line of nichrome resistance wire, which is suitable for use in a wide range of packaging, sealing, shrink-wrapping, plastic sheet and styrofoam cutting, and acrylic bending equipment.
Coated with DuPont Teflon to create a non-stick surface for use in all types of sealing equipment, the APC Teflon Coated Nichrome Wire is capable of 500°F continuous operation with 600°F intermittent use.
The wire is supplied on spools from stock and offered in standard 0.18", 0.020", and 0.036" sizes.
Applied Plastics claims that the Teflon coated nichrome wire will last longer compared to uncoated nichrome resistance wire.
The company is an original licensed industrial applicator of DuPont Teflon finishes.
