US-based Cloud Packaging Solutions has unveiled new Hydroforma 165 soluble pod machine at the Interpack event in Germany.
The next-generation Hydroforma machine includes new patented features, which will allow packaged goods companies to develop dry and liquid pod-based products.
Suitable for midsize manufacturers and markets, the Hydroforma 165 features new cavity designs, enhanced multi-cavity capacities, expanded liquid and dry material handling.
Hydroforma 165 machine holds capacity to produce 2,200 pods per minute.
According to the company, the pod market holds larger potential, as it is used as a single dose solution for dishwasher and laundry soaps.
The company also produces Hydroforma 330 water-soluble pouch packaging machine, which can run powder applications at speeds up to 1,200 pouches per minute and liquid applications at speeds up to 540 pouches per minute.
Hydroforma 660 water-soluble pouch packaging machine is a precision filling system for liquids and powders.
Cloud Packaging Equipment vice president Mike Werner said: “Leading CPG firms continue developing new soluble pod products. We’ve seen many exciting concepts.

Based in Des Plaines of Illinois, Cloud manufactures stand-up pouch machines, form-fill-seal machines, and other high-speed pouch machines, which run at speeds up to 5,600 pouches per minute.
