Ultimate Digital Invests in Hp Indigo 20000 Digital Press

UK-based Ultimate Packaging subsidiary Ultimate Digital has invested in HP Indigo 20000 digital press, in a bid to expand its production operations.

HP Indigo 20000 digital press will enable Ultimate Digital to print around 50000 linear metres of digital film per day.

The increased capacity will also allow Ultimate Digital to enter into new markets such as luxury packaging, in addition to FMCG sector.

HP Indigo 20000 press can be used in various packaging applications, including flexible packaging, labels, and shrink sleeves on film or paper.

The press will also allow variable data printing, including text, graphics, bar codes and security elements.

HP Indigo 20000 press features ElectroInk technology that helps to improve the print quality, while seven n-press ink stations allow converters to meet stringent corporate branding requirements.

With 30in web width, 29in wide image format, and 44in repeat length, the press provides flexibility to be used for flexible packaging applications.

The 30in wide web format will facilitate integration into current flexible packaging production processes.

In addition,the press holds capacity to handle substrates, ranging from 0.4pt to 10 pt, printing on film, paper, and  aluminum.
