Clondalkin Pharma and Healthcare North America has installed a manroland sheetfed 708 coater perfecting press with InlineFoiler to its pharmaceutical packaging production facility in Charlotte, North Carolina, US.
The facility produces folded cartons to a customer base requiring pharmaceutical and healthcare secondary packaging.
Clondalkin Pharma and Healthcare sales & marketing vice president Kevin Kenjarski said the company has invested $300m in its Pharma and Healthcare packaging business in the past six years.
"The award winning manroland InlineFoiler will allow for further value added enhancements on the sheet in-line with the ability to print over the foil that is applied in the second and third printing units," Kenjarski said.
According to Clondalkin, the press is expected to add additional capacity, UV ink and coating drying options along with inline foil application capability to the packaging facility.
