Luxembourg-based tubular producer Tenaris reportedly has predicted that the demand of pipes consumption was likely to remain sluggish in 2013. However, Tenaris expects to make product mix improvements to help offset the impact of lower prices in less differentiated segments.
Meanwhile, the second half, the drilling activity in North America has slowed down, but the company expects to improve by the end of the year. In the second half, sales of line pipe in Brazil will be affected by delays in project execution. Industrial customers in Europe will continue to be affected by weak economic activity.
