UK-based pulp‚ paper and packaging group Mondi has introduced EcoLiner, a new, natural release liner alternative for tape industry.
The latest product developed by Mondi claimed to be environmentally sound liner which is marketed under the name EcoLiner.
Fibre Packaging CEO Tom Schäbinger said that unlike the conventional production processes, the EcoLiner requires less natural resources.
"Additionally, as a result of the reduced amount of chemicals used during the production process, our new release liner causes less harmful emissions," Schäbinger said.
The new EcoLiner contains a paper substrate produced from sustainable pulp resources, which said to be certified according to the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
According to Mondi, the paper substrate used for the EcoLiner is produced without the use of any bleaching chemicals and is made of pulp certified.
EcoLiner has a natural brown appearance and available with a width of 20 to 2,300 mm and a liner weight of 62, 80 and 90 grams.
