According to the data released by the Japanese Auto Industry Association, Japanese car sales and production dropped with two-digit in January this year.
Japan Auto Manufacturer Association (JAMA) and Japan Automobile Dealers Association (JADA)’s data show that Japanese car sales were 229,333 in January, down 12.9% year on year, while the sales were 263,267 in January, 2012.
Japanese car production was 714,580 in January, down 10.6% year on year compared to 646,094 in 2012.
