Pac Machinery has installed new bag-making capital equipment at its Converting Technology division in Milwaukee, US.
The installation is a part of the company’s effort to support growing demand for custom pre-opened bags on a roll and poly mailers for automatic baggers.
The new bag-making machines have been designed and developed by Converting Technology, a Pac Machinery Company, in partnership with equipment manufacturer Clamco.
The new machines are designed to make bags on a roll that are fully compatible with automatic baggers from Automated Packaging Systems, and Sharp Packaging Systems, as well as Rollbag brand automatic baggers from Clamco, a PAC Machinery company.
Converting Technology general manager Greg Quinn said: "Our objective in investing in the new bag fabrication equipment is to accommodate the fast-growing demand for custom pre-opened bags on a roll and bags in a box used in mail order fulfillment packaging.
“Over the past two years, our new capital equipment program has boosted capacity by approximately 67%. “
The manufacturing equipment will enable Converting Technology to meet increasing demand for order fulfillment packaging.
Quinn added: "With the rapid adoption of online commerce, the demand for durable, mail order fulfillment packaging has grown exponentially.”
Converting Technology also installed additional printing equipment in order to support increased bag fabrication capacity.
PAC Machinery is engaged in manufacturing equipment and materials including sealing equipment, vacuum sealers, automatic baggers, pre-opened bags on a roll, and shrink packaging systems for flexible packaging industry.
