New Belgium Has Completed The Construction of Its Asheville Distribution Center

New Belgium Brewing Company has completed the construction of its Asheville Distribution Center, which is likely to start shipping beer by the end of this year.

New Belgium will distribute beer across East Coast markets from the newly constructed 141,000ft2 distribution centre, which is built on 13 acres of land.

The craft brewer teamed up with ARCO National Construction for the project, which will employ 40 of the 140 estimated New Belgium employees in Asheville.

The brewery is also building a new brewery, packaging hall and tasting room in Asheville as part of its major $140m investment plan in Asheville. The company has invested $13.6m for this project.

The distribution centre contains 88,000ft2 of refrigerated space that can keep 12 million bottles and cans and 50000 full kegs cold, 44000ft2 of space for raw materials, 9000ft2 of outdoor covered storage area, and office space.

The building is also energy-efficient as it will use 25% less energy than a traditional distribution plant.
