Soups producer Vanee Foods has announced a new high-speed hot fill bottling line at its Broadview manufacturing facility in the US state of Illinois.
The company has invested around $8m in the new bottling line, which has the capacity to fill bottles of various sizes ranging from 8 fl oz up to 1 gallon.
Vanee has partnered with Pacific Packaging and Fowler/Zalkin to build out this line.
Expected to become operational at the end of September, the line offers a capacity of over 60 million pounds annually.
Vanee Foods Marketing & Communications vice president Luke Vanee said: "Hot fill bottling is a logical extension of our capabilities. This line gives us new avenues for growth in all of our primary business segments, including co-packing, custom formulation for chain restaurants, and broadline foodservice.
"With a much broader set of manufacturing capabilities, we can expand on our existing partnerships and establish new ones."
Vanee Foods manufactures shelf stable entrées, gravies, sauces, soups and soup bases
