O2Micro(R) International Limited was issued 18 claims under United States patent number 8,076,867 for its Driving Circuit invention.
O2Micro's patented invention includes the benefits of United States patent number 8,044,608, eliminating use of a dedicated apparatus to control LED brightness. Thus, component count and the cost of end-user panel brightness control are reduced.
"This invention can continuously adjust LED brightness controlled by an AC wall switch," remarked Dr. Yung Lin, executive vice president, O2Micro.
