According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey’s imports of seamless steel pipes totaled 24,531 tons in May, soaring by 78% from a month ago but falling by 29% year on year.
In May, China was the largest exporter of seamless steel pipes to Turkey with 12,784 tons; Ukraine was the second largest one with 4,406 tons.
In the first five months of this year, the country’s imports of seamless steel pipes amounted to 119,005 tons, increasing by 21% year on year.
