UK based Paramount Labels has purchased PicoColour UV inkjet digital label press from Dantex Digital to strengthen its business.
The firm also invested in a newly built in-house digital printing department as part of its £1m expansion plan.
The PicoColour press is designed to effortlessly print high definition graphics on adhesive paper, polypropylene and polyethylene. It can also be used to print with exclusively formulated UV-based inks in CMYK+White.
Paramount Labels managing director Phil Wright said: "Supporting the British manufacturing economy is important to us, so the fact that the press is manufactured in the UK is a plus.
“We're looking forward to having the PicoColour installed so that our customers can benefit from the superior digital print quality."
With a maximum print speed of 35m per minute, the Dantex Digital’s PicoColour press can accommodate a printing width up to 210mm.
Additionally, the solution can offer digital inkjet printing with simple operation and has the flexibility to print on a variety of different substrates.
The company expects the new press to complement its existing presses and create a company package made of efficiency, speed and precision.
The press, which is planned to be commissioned in December, is expected to boost its digital capability for a rapidly growing customer base, Paramount said.
