Having debuted its first wearable, the Huawei TalkBand B1, back in early 2014, Huawei recently introduced its second-generation device, the Huawei TalkBand B2 at MWC 2015.
Now, the Chinese manufacturer has told TrustedReviews its TalkBand line is set for annual refreshes.
“Currently I think we will keep this and persist in this field,” Yang Yong, Huawei’s Vice President of Product Management said discussing the wearables market.
Speaking on product update plans, he added: “It will be yearly. We will have a next-generation.”
With the TalkBand line boasting dual functionality – it’s both a wrist-based activity tracker and Bluetooth headset – Huawei has suggested that improved audio quality will lead the focus of the updates.
“We will insist that, even in our next generation product, the sound experience is the best.”
Despite having recently unveiled its first dedicated smartwatch – the aptly named Huawei Watch – the manufacturer has yet to offer up details on when a second-gen product will touch down.
