General Motors is recalling more than 57,000 vehicles in the US due to issues with ignition switch key, which may shift from the “run” position when touched by the driver’s knee.
The recall affects 2011-2013 models of Chevrolet Caprice PPV left-hand-drive sedans imported from Australia and Pontiac G8s from the 2008 through the 2009 model years.
The company said that it is aware of one accident triggered by the problem, but no serious injuries have been reported yet.
Another recall includes 10,005 units of Cadillac CTS-V 2004-2007 model years and 2006-2007 model year Cadillac STS-Vs.
In these vehicles, the fuel pump module electrical terminal is capable of overheating which could cause the flange material to melt, eventually resulting in fire.
The company also recalled 304 units of 2014 model-year Chevrolet Sonics due to loose electrical connection in steering column which could affect the driver-side air bag.
