Production for GM's 2012 Chevrolet Sonic Is Started by Nww

MWW Automotive, a global design, engineering, and manufacturing company that serves the automotive manufacturers, has started production for the painting and fulfillment of interior partsfor the GM's new 2012 Chevrolet Sonic.

As part of GM's restructuring, the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic will be assembled in Lake Orion, Michigan, and is expected to hit markets in the fall of 2011.

The company will produce door trim, window console covers, trim bars and door pulls for the Chevrolet Sonic from its Colortek Class-A painting/assembly/logistics facility in Baroda, Michigan.

MWW Automotive CEO Chuck Pinkerton said the company is very excited to be involved in the launch of this ground breaking new GM model.

"The Chevrolet Sonic is one of several new MWW automotive projects that will commence production at the end of September 2011 and beginning of October and will run over the next three years," Pinkerton said.

"Expectations for the Sonic, the first US produced sub compact, are high and we are looking forward to significant and long lasting production runs.

"Producing the Sonic for GM and Chevrolet is another milestone on our path to further establish ourselves as one of the premier manufacturers for specialized painting and logistics projects and reflects our commitment to deliver only the highest quality product to our clients.
