Mindray to Show New Features of DC-8 Ultrasound System in Us

Mindray Medical International will feature new enhancements included in the DC-8 ultrasound system at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), which will be held at Chicago, US, from 25-30 November 2012.

The modified system, DC-8 v1.5, will now include a Multi-Slice feature which displays multiple 2D images on one page and allow users to view slices on any reference point on a 3D plane.

The DC-8 system, in addition to support measurements on 3D MPR images and 3D color, uses the company's Multi-Beam Parallel Imaging technology to produce optimized images with minimal user involvement.

In addition, a new user interface enables logical and efficient workflow while ensuring a more convenient operation.

Mindray Medical International ultrasound sales vice president Michael Thompson said the v1.5 release expands the DC-8's ability to simplify and enhance the clinical experience with easier image acquisition and superior image quality.

"Focusing on advances in 3D and general imaging capabilities, we believe the DC-8 system has the potential to improve patient management, increase ease of use, and enhance users' overall level of confidence," Thompson added.

In addition to enhancements to the DC-8, the company will be displaying its M7, M5, DP 50, DP-7, DC-7, DC-T6, and DC- systems at the RSNA.
