Berlin Packaging Has Opened a New Warehouse in Cranbury, New Jersey, US

Plastic, glass and metal containers and closures supplier Berlin Packaging has opened a new warehouse in Cranbury, New Jersey, US, which joins 60 other company's warehouse locations throughout the country.

The new 70,000ft2 facility will accommodate packages for just-in-time delivery to area customers participating in its inventory management programs.

Customers availing Berlin Packaging's warehousing and inventory-management programs avoid the costs of packaging stockouts and reduce internal real estate and associated carrying costs for in-house inventory management.

Customers can also eliminate the expense of paying for third-party storage facilities and gain access to the company's logistics technology, including inventory forecasting and volume alerts.

According to the company, the New Jersey facility adds to the space which was earlier dedicated to maintaining package inventory in the tri-state area and eastern Pennsylvania.

Berlin Packaging chief operating officer Larry Rydzewski said the company is increasing its capacity to continue to optimize its customer service as well as meet constantly growing demand for its inventory management services.

"This new facility will achieve both objectives and enhance our ability to provide services that help customers get the maximum return on their packaging investments," Rydzewski said.

Berlin Packaging is also doubling its office space in nearby Fort Lee, New Jersey in a bid to accommodate ongoing business growth in the region.
