Three days of exclusivity and innovation. On 3 - 5 April 2013, Milano will become the capital city of the international steel industry for the 5th Made in Steel. This event, that will be held for the first time in the fieramilanocity halls, located in the city centre of Milan, is a future oriented exhibition.
Conference and exhibition: this is the combination that, since the beginning, has represented Made in Steel. Besides representing the ideal venue to increase one's business, the real added value of this Italian event will be the presence of top level international steel exhibitors and visitors, and the agenda of conferences, focuses and panel discussions.
Top experts of the steel and economic sectors will give life to an exchange of information and knowledge that will provide enormous training value. This formula gives as from 2013, a clear drive towards internationalization: an aspect that embodies an objective that Made in Steel has set for itself. Exhibitors and visitors of the steel conference and exhibition will have the opportunity to get in touch with the whole international landscape, also thanks to partnerships with the Italian Chambers of Commerce in the United Arab Emirates, India, Turkey, Brazil, Sweden and Germany and to those which are being defined with Russia, Poland, Saudi Arabia and Switzerland. Made in Steel has chosen to meet those countries that, in the light of their steel consumption and GDP increase, represent the most interesting scenarios in the global landscape.
Participating exhibitors will have the opportunity to hold B2B meetings with the experts of these country systems, in order to establish flows of knowledge that are unlikely to be reproduced in different contexts and venues. In addition to the sponsorships with Italian Federacciai, the institution that gathers steel producers, Assofermet, the trade and distribution association, Centro Inox, promoter and developer of studies on stainless steel and Promozione Acciaio, a foundation that deals with increasing the use of steel in constructions and infrastructures, also European institutions will be siding with Made in Steel in 2013.
For the first time also Eurometal, the European producers' association, and Euro Inox, the association specialized in stainless steels, will turn the Italian conference and exhibition into a valuable extension of their organizations. Among the many events that will give content to these partnerships, there will be the third International Steel Trade Day, to be held on 4 April within the framework of Made in Steel.
The central character of the steel industry in all its elements in terms of themes and trade is clarified by the three lines along which Made in Steel will develop: transportation, building and power and utilities, the three sectors which, on the whole, consume 91% of European steel. While products follow an ideal direction from the top to the bottom of the industry, therefore from producers to uses, information follows the opposite direction. For this reason, the needs of final users will be the starting point to go back to the top of the supply chain: the model adopted by Made in Steel aims at significantly improving communication and the needs of all the players in the whole steel supply chain.
