Japanese car maker Mitsubishi Motors is aiming to sell 300,000 vehicles in China in 2015.
Mitsubishi said that its sales business in this country is focused on three areas which include engines, domestic automobiles and import automobiles.
To achieve its sales target by the end of 2015, the carmaker is planning to increase its domestic production by establishing a joint venture with GAC Group, which is expected to be set this year and it will begin manufacturing the ASX crossover.
The preparatory work on the JV is currently under progress and is expected to ensure smooth domestic production of the ASX.
Mitsubishi is also planning to boost its SUV lineup with its second production facility, and its new Outlander is expected to be sold in China this year as an imported model.
