KM Packaging Services has developed a new anti-fogging lidding film, Fog Buster for foil trays, for the benefit of food manufacturers. It offers better clarity even through multiple temperature variables.
The film retains clarity and seal integrity and will help manufacturers to deal with temperature control along the supply chain. Its range includes high barrier, ultra high barrier and standard barrier ranges, along with a range of thicknesses.
According to the UK-based company, the new film range can also be supplied with printing as well as other advantages such as laser perforation for shelf life extension of vegetables.
KM Packaging managing director Charles Smithson said the company continues to look at methods of improving the anti-fog further for customers who wish to use the aluminum foil tray pack concept for some food products with which it has been difficult to maintain lidding film clarity over shelf life.
"The Fog Buster lidding films have achieved these improvements, thereby allowing the products to look their best on the shelf," Smithson said.
KM's Fog Buster comes on the back of other developments, including a solution for oven-cook casseroles to withstand lengthy roasting times and a triple tray for fresh ingredients.
