FLSmidth has secured a €68 million order from Grupo Abayak AKOGA Cemento SA to supply a 3000 tonnes per day green field cement plant in Akoga, Equatorial Guinea. The order includes plant engineering and all main equipment, including filters. “Equatorial Guinea and the surrounding region have been relying on imported cement - thereby suffering from high prices and constraints. This plant will be serving the local market as well as neighbouring countries. FLSmidth is pleased to contribute to the development towards self-sufficiency in cement in the region, which will support social and infrastructure developments. Such an order is based on good customer relations and a professional approach,” said FLSmidth group executive vice president Per Mejnert Kristensen.
