Taiwan-based solar wafer maker Gigastorage reported March consolidated revenues of NT$736 million (US$24 million), up 28.63% on month. Gigastorage noted that the rising revenues were due to strong demand of the firm's high efficiency solar wafer, G3+.
The firm plans to expand high efficiency solar wafer capacity in the second quarter to reach a total annual capacity of 500MW.
Solar wafer maker Green Energy Technology (GET) saw March revenues reach NT$943 million, up 2.3% on month but down 7.4% on year. The firm noted that capacity utilization rate has been above 90%. GET accumulated NT$2.678 billion in consolidated revenues from January-March, down 4.7% on year.
