Eckerd Peru, operator for InkaFarma, Peru's pharmaceutical retail giant, has chosen LogFire's cloud-based extended warehouse management system (WMS) to maximize efficiencies as part of InkaFarma's new fully automated distribution center.
The extended WMS solution offers traceability and order tracking features based on expiration date, serial number, and batch number tracking, and also provides reverse logistics capabilities to track pharmaceutical inventory returns.
LogFire's WMS will increase productivity in all warehouse operations, and also will improve the quality of communication and eliminate the need for fixed workstations, increasing efficiency, flexibility, and productivity.
The solution can be integrated with the warehouse control system and tied to the material handling equipment at InkaFarma, to provide full warehouse automation.
InkaFarma IT director Jorge Abarca said the LogFire cloud-based WMS solution will provide the company with the ability to standardize its logistic operations.
LogFire offers supply chain execution software and services for retailers, manufacturers, and third party logistics providers worldwide.
