November 17-18, 2016, the Fifth China International Diesel Engine Summit was held in Beijing. The summit attracted dozens of well-known enterprises at home and abroad to participate in, giving symposiums for China's diesel engine industry status, energy-saving emission reduction policies and regulations, fuel consumption standards, the latest technology trends, commercial vehicles and other topics of future development trends.
According to regulations, on January 1, 2017 the country will officially implement the National V emission standards for the on-road diesel vehicles, and the engine of construction and agricultural machinery and other new products will be strictly equipped in accordance with the "non-road standard" requirements of the third phase. The Beijing area is expected to take the lead of the National VI standards in 2017.
Considering the strictly law-enforcing situation, commercial vehicles, non-road construction machinery, engine manufacturing, the post-processing and other enterprises are facing a severe challenge. The purpose of the summit is to share industry data analysis reports, calling on the core business to prepare fully for the upgrade of emission regulations from technology research and development, product manufacturing, technology updates and practical applications.
