At the end of a steam cycle during autoclave sterilisation, air is drawn in to the unit and passed over the contents for drying purposes. This air needs to be free from particulates and the Isovent 50mm HEPA filters are an excellent choice for this application. Helapet can also accommodate 0.2 Micron PTFE media preferences using our standard 50mm polypropylene housing.
The ¼ inch stepped barb connectors fit most autoclave and steriliser units, but Isovent autoclave filters can be supplied with either flush connectors or screw threads if required. Isovent filters can be fitted inside the door of the autoclave and the door closure offers a good seal against the polypropylene filter housing, withstanding environments of up to 134 deg C.
