The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved ArthroCare's SpeedLock HIP Knotless Fixation implant for soft tissue fixation to bone in the hip.
SpeedLock HIP, a polyether-etherketone (PEEK) implant, is designed to provide a precise and stable construct with a streamlined technique, according to the company.
In addition, SpeedLock HIP complements the company's line of Coblation wands and suturing technologies to provide a portfolio of enabling surgical tools for hip arthroscopy.
ArthroCare said the SpeedLock HIP implant is primarily used in acetabular labral reattachment and hip capsular repair.
