Hhp Contains Food Safety, Ability to Kill Pathogens and Clean-Labeling

US-based industrial and food applications equipment firm Avure would open a new facility for producing 50 HPP systems annually, close to its headquarters at Franklin, Tennessee by the end of the year.

According to the firm, it is developing infrastructure to serve the growing food market for HPP equipment, and is in the final stages of site selection and would make machines based on customer demand.

Avure Technologies vice president global marketing Glenn Hewson said they are aiming to fulfill customers' demand from a closer location.

"We are hoping the business will grow, despite the economic times being what they are, we reported our best sales year earlier this year and we are growing quite well," added Hewson.

HHP has three basic advantages, which include food safety, ability to kill pathogens and clean-labeling.

Food products are treated through HPP or cold pasteurization during final packaging as the contents are not touched once they are packaged.

Universal Pasteurization, contract service provider for HPP, has set up five 350L systems from Avure.
