Performance Days is a semi-annual show presenting functional fabrics for sports and work and will take place at MTC World of Fashion in Munich, Germany from April 28, 2015.

The Teijin Frontier stand will display products that meet increasing demands for sports and daily-use wear by combining high performance and comfort.

“The stand will also exhibit Teijin Frontier’s environmentally friendly solutions that help conserve fossil resources and reduce CO2 emissions,” a press release from Teijin said.

Among various products, it will show Deltapeak, its next-generation fabric, which offers a well-balanced combination of ultraviolet protection, anti-transparency and snag resistance due to its dense and flat-knit surface.

Another product, Deltapeak CR is a lightweight, thin, three-layer fabric made with water-repellent polyester fibres which achieves excellent anti-perspiration comfort through enhanced absorption and quick drying.

Eco Storm is a high-performance material that is both waterproof and breathable and incorporates recycled polyester that is laminated to a thin but durable polyester film, making it ideal for outdoor clothing.

The Odor-Control – Type EP is an innovative polyester material that offers stable pH control to suppress harmful bacteria by maintaining a slight acidic surface, similar to that of healthy skin.

Among others, Teijin will also show, Solotex, a polytrimethylene terephthalate fibre which is highly soft, stretchable, shape-retaining and durable and is a partially bio-derived material.

According to Teijin, all materials to be showcased at the show are environmentally friendly because they can be recycled with Teijin's Eco Circle.

Eco Circle is the world's first closed-loop recycling system that turns used polyester into new fibres that offer the purity and quality of petroleum derived fibres.

Teijin’s main fields of operation are high-performance fibres such as aramid, carbon fibres and composites, healthcare, films, resin & plastic processing, polyester fibres, products converting and IT.

The group has some 150 companies and around 16,000 employees spread over 20 countries worldwide.
