Qimarox Launches New Standard Stretch-Hood Machine

Dutch components manufacturer for material handling systems, Qimarox has introduced a new standard stretch hood machine.

The new packaging machine, an addition to the company’s range of material handling components, can be integrated with the palletising module of Qimarox in a complete final packaging system.

Qimarox said its Highrunner mk7 is modular, serially produced palletising module designed to allow swift stacking of final packages of various shapes and sizes on pallets.

Additionally, the compact stretch hood machine features four tensioning arms designed to allow stretching of a stretch wrap taut and pull it over the loaded pallet.

Upon releasing the tensioning arms release, the boxes, bags or other products on the pallet can no longer move.

As the four tensioning arms can move horizontally in two directions, the stretch wrapper can wrap any size of pallet, the company said.

Since the machine does not use power-hungry technologies such as pneumatics and hydraulics to power the tensioning arms, energy consumption is minimized, saving up to €3,500 each year for customers.

Additionally, the machine inspection or replacement of wearing parts can all take place at ground level while eliminating the need for moving machine parts for service and maintenance work.

Qimarox is engaged in manufacturing palletisers, product lifts, pallet lifts, packaging machines and shielding systems, among other things for customers in logistics, machine construction and construction of transport and end-of-line packaging systems.
