Vegetables’ prices stopped growing and maintained stable in Anhui Province due to the good weather, some kinds of the leafy vegetables’ prices decreased slightly.
In provincial capital’s Zhou Gudui market, the prices of local coriander, greens, spinach, chives, Shandong’s celery and garlic sprouts and so on fell slightly, in which spinach decreased the most, with a drop of 26.6% a week. Other vegetables’ prices maintained stable. Li tao, director of market information center, said vegetables’ prices stopped growing and maintained stable this week because of the good weather and the increase landings of the leafy vegetables.
Some fruits’ prices declined obviously. In Zhou Gudui market, the wholesale price of sugar orange was RMB 2.8-3jin this week, with a drop of 40% compared to the previous week. The wholesale price of strawberry, on the market in winter, dropped to RMB 6-8.
