Applications Are Invited by Australian Govt for TCF SBP

AusIndustry, the Australian Government’s specialist program delivery division, has invited applications for the eighth round of its annual Textile, Clothing and Footwear (TCF) Small Business Program (SBP), which aims to boost the country’s small businesses by providing them funding up to Au$ 50,000.

The competitive, merit-based grants program, slated to end in June 2016, offers financial grants worth Au$ 2.5 million every year to the eligible businesses.   For the past few years the Government body has been trying to transform the processes, nature and style of Australia’s established TCF small enterprises by enhancing their capacity to be innovative with the help of the program.

To avail the benefits of the program, the applicant or the small enterprise must produce or design an eligible TCF product for Australia, should have lesser than 20 members of working staff, ought to have a minimum annual business turnover of Au$ 100,000 and should be able to contribute at least 25 percent of cash to the entire expenditure of the proposed eligible project.

Since its inception, TCF SBP grants have been offered to more than 470 businesses in Australia.   Prior to the program’s selection process, informative workshops will be organized for making the applications of the applicants, who have reviewed and confirmed their eligibility, more competitive.

Conducted by AusIndustry, the nationwide workshops will take place in cities like Perth, Gold Coast, Sydney and Adelaide from January 30, 2013 onwards.
