Japan-based Toyota Motor is expecting its sales to reach 9.91 million units by 2013, up 2% compared to 9.7 million units in 2012.
Toyota spokesman Joichi Tachikawa told Bloomberg that the company's overall sales in 2013 will rise 8% to 7.87 million units, while deliveries in Japan will drop to 2.04 million.
"We expect sales in the US and Asia to continue to rise next year," Tachikawa said.
"Asia's sales will be driven by Indonesia, while for the US, models such as Avalon and Lexus LS will likely help boost sales."
Indonesia is expected to drive the sales of the carmaker in the Asian market while its Avalon and Lexus LS models are likely to boost sales in the US.
The carmaker is also planning to build a new engine factory in Indonesia to double its capacity, as part of its plan to invest $1.3bn in the Southeast Asian country over the next five years.
