Japanese printing company Dai Nippon Printing has signed an agreement with SIG Combibloc, a manufacturer of cartons for food and beverages, to collaborate in the food and beverage carton business in Japan.
The collaboration will leverage strengths and experience of the two companies to expand business in Japan.
It will also sell SIG Combibloc's carton packaging for food and beverages as well as the SIG Combibloc filling system.
SIG Combibloc filling machines are designed to produce up to 24,000 packs per hour with low system costs and consistently low wastage rates.
Additionally, the food and beverage manufacturers can use the machines to keep production extremely flexible and cost-effective.
The SIG Combibloc's flexible filling technology is designed to fill beverages containing pieces of fruit or vegetables, cereal grains or jelly pearls.
The partners aim to revive carton packaging as one of the most eco-friendly packaging solution in the market.
SIG Combibloc, which introduced an aseptic carton pack system in Europe, offers a range of carton packs and openings, as well as carton packaging solutions for products containing particulates.
Dai Nippon said that the variety of carton packs and its ability to fill products containing particulates would offer new value to the Japanese consumers.
