Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), the largest stainless steelmaker in Taiwan announced to cut its list prices for 300 grades stainless steel products by NT$3,000/ton for May.
Meanwhile, Yusco kept its list prices for 400 grades stainless steel products unchanged for May.
Yusco pointed out that the low-priced steel imports from China and Korea have been dumped into Taiwanese market.
Although the Taiwanese steelmakers have submitted a complaint, the steel imports from the two counties still remained high over the past few months, causing the stainless steel prices weak in the Taiwanese market.
Besides, nickel prices have kept falling recently, making buyers ask Yusco to cut prices.
