Two new Volkswagen Runner special editions have been released, expanding the brand's local commercial vehicle line-up.
Priced at $26,990 driveaway, and limited to 90 vehicles, is the Volkswagen Amarok Runner special edition.
The 4×2 single cab Volkswagen Amarok Runner features the 118kW/300Nm turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine and six-speed manual transmission from the Amarok TSI300, but adds an accessory alloy tray and unique 'Runner' signifiers.
At $39,990 driveaway, the Volkswagen Crafter Van Runner special edition sees hard-wearing 'Runner' trim and 'Runner' badging added to the base 80kW/300Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel-powered six-speed manual Crafter 35 with standard roof, and is limited to 100 units.
While payloads between the Crafter Van and Amarok vary – 1537kg to 1303kg respectively – both receive electronic stability control, hill hold control, 'climatic' air conditioning, daytime running lights and are covered under Volkswagen's three-year unlimited kilometre warranty.
The new Amarok and Crafter Van special editions join the Caddy Van and Transporter Runner special editions with all models available now at Volkswagen commercial vehicles dealerships.
