Toyota Goes North

Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) has established a direct presence in two key markets, the Northern Territory and North Queensland regions.

The new TMHA Darwin and Townsville branches opened early April and offer the full Toyota Material Handling range of Toyota, BT Lift Truck and Raymond forklift products, as well as Toyota's comprehensive Huski skid-steer loader range.

The new TMHA Darwin branch is located at 20 Mander Road, Holtze, while the Townville branch is located at 13 Reward Court, Bohle.

Toyota forklifts were previously sold and serviced in these markets by independent dealers.

The new branch managers are Paul Allen in Darwin and Graeme Ashton in Townsville.

TMHA's general manager branch operations Cameron Paxton said establishing a direct TMHA presence in the two markets would have many benefits for customers.

"We can now offer dedicated field support as well as a fully equipped service facility capable of handling all jobs," he said.

"Darwin and Townsville forklift and skid steer loader customers will now have access to factory-backed technicians trained to the highest skill levels in the industry, as well as Toyota's national network of factory-owned branches and resources.

"The move to factory-owned branches is consistent with our strategy to deal directly with customers," he said.

"We will now be able to offer direct service and better access to our national stock of equipment, parts and short-term rental units."
