Finalists have been announced for the longest running national awards program in the supply chain, logistics and transport industry.
Having served the industry for over fifty years, the Australian Supply Chain & Logistics Awards, run by the SCLAA, are recognised and esteemed awards for an individual and a company to be awarded, with winners to be announced during a gala dinner on Thursday 28 November at the Sydney Opera House.
2013 ASCL Future Leaders Award
The purpose of the Future Leaders Award is to provide incentive and recognition to young professionals who are both currently working in and wish to continue their career path within the transport, supply chain and logistics industry. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase young professionals within our great industry.
Finalists are: Francesco Basillo, Coventry Group; Kingsley Cherry, consultant, Project Procure; Renae Cunningham, relationship management analyst, Aurizon; Louise Elford, strategic program manager, ENERGEX Limited; Daniel Esdaile, business analyst, Australia Post; Michael Holden, Perth Network Centre manager, Centurion; Cassie Morton, sourcing specialist, Aurizon; Natalie Pavlic, parts operation analyst, Honda Australia; Matthew Sheppard, procurement specialist, Aurizon; and Joseph Tomoum, business development executive, Hanjin Shipping.
2013 ASCL Industry Excellence Award
The Industry Excellence Award is the most prestigious award and recognises and acknowledges the outstanding achievements and contribution by an individual currently working within the transport, supply chain and logistics industry. The judges will be looking for individuals who have demonstrated vision and leadership, shows innovation and not afraid to take risks.
Finalists are: Michael Austin, procurement manager, Australasia Weatherford; Phill Dagnell, procurement systems & policy manager group procurement, UnitingCare Queensland; Colin Jennings, managing director, Transdev (QLD); Paul Kahlert, general manager, All Purpose Transport; and Phil Nahrung, senior strategic sourcing specialist, Stanwell Corporation.
2013 ASCL Training, Education & Development Award
The Training, Education & Development Award is to be presented to the company or institution that best demonstrates a significant achievement in aspects such as recruitment process, training, HR Systems, formal education and development programs that is both relevant to and promotes the supply chain and logistics industry.
Finalists are: All Purpose Transport, SCHUB International, Super Retail Group – Leisure Division, Transpacific Industries Group and Tyres4U.
2013 ASCL Information Management Award
The Information Management Award will go to the business that can best demonstrate it has made a significant achievement in the application of information technology within its supply chain.
Finalists are: IFC Global Logistics and SCHUB International.
2013 ASCL Environmental Excellence Award
The Environmental Excellence Award recognises corporate leadership contributing to the solution of environmental sustainability within our industry through performance and action.
Finalists are Di Bella Coffee, ENERGEX Limited, Haymans Electrical & Data Suppliers, OfficeMax Australia and SCHUB International.
2013 ASCL Supply Chain Management Award
The aim of the Supply Chain Management Award is to encourage and acknowledge the outstanding achievement of an organisation that has demonstrated significant achievement in managing the integration of supply chains. This could be functional integration within an organisational supply chain or more widely across supply chains involving several organisations that have formed trading partnerships or alliances. Collaboration and added value across the supply chain, achievements gained through outsourcing and the development of new business models could also be demonstrated.
Finalists are: Chief Procurement Office-Department of Transport and Main Roads, ITW-Proline, Kmart, Polar Fresh Cold Chain Services–Parkinson CDC and SCHUB International.
