Honeywell Awards Partner Of The Year, Makes Printing Easier

Dematic was recently named Honeywell’s ANZ 2015 Partner of the Year as part of the Honeywell Australia and New Zealand Executive Partner Briefing 2016.

Dematic received the award from a field of over 50 Honeywell partners across Australia and New Zealand.

Brian Lang, Dematic’s director of real time logistics, said he was proud that Dematic had received acknowledgment as a leader in the materials handling sector.

“Dematic is excited to once again have been recognised by Honeywell, this year as their number one partner in Australia and New Zealand,” said Mr Lang. “Dematic has had a strong global partnership with Honeywell for many years and we are committed to working closely with them to deliver current and new solutions to ensure we are meeting the needs of our customers.”

Tony Repaci, Honeywell sensing and productivity solutions country manager, ANZ said: “I applaud Dematic for its ability to deliver a wide breadth of solutions for distribution centres -, in particular Voice and traditional DC technologies. Congratulations on achieving the 2015 Partner of the Year award.”

Honeywell simplifies printer upgrades

Honeywell also announced the release of ZSim2, the advanced emulation software that facilitates fast bar code label printing and enables companies to seamlessly upgrade their existing printers.

The ZSim2 platform is compatible with the Zebra ZPL II printer command language to help businesses upgrade to fast and user-friendly label-printing. Available on most Honeywell printers, ZSim2 is designed for easy installation and configuration, and it prints labels that are virtually identical to those printed by other devices.

“Bar code printers are an integral tool for any business looking to track and trace its goods through a supply chain. If the printing technology being used does not meet its needs, it can compromise productivity and accuracy,” said Tony Repaci.

“ZSim2 offers businesses the flexibility to upgrade to some of the most advanced label printers on the market with ease. Whether it is retail shelf price labelling, office packing and shipping labelling or distribution centre barcode labelling applications, Honeywell has an extensive range of printers focused on solving the toughest printing challenges.”

Based on an analysis of customer scripts over 15 years, Honeywell’s ZSim2 is well-tested and includes emulation tools to improve printing capabilities like font matching.
