According to the 2013 Ohio Manufacturers Directory,Ohio has gained 5,397 industrial jobs from August 2011 to August 2012 for a growth of.05 percent.
"Ohio continues to see its manufacturing sector improve,"says Tom Dubin,president of the Evanston,Ill.-based publishing company Manufacturers'News,Inc.(MNI),which compiles the report."The state's solid infrastructure and low business costs have made it easier for manufacturers to do business."
According to MNI,jobs in transportation equipment manufacturing increased 2.8 percent over the year having the third-ranked sector accounting for 85,142 industrial jobs.The stone,clay and glass sector also saw a growth of 1.2 percent.
