Nissan to Recall 188000 Vehicles Worldwide Due to a Braking Defect

188,302 SUVs will be recalled worldwide due to  a braking defect, said Nissan Motor on Wensday.These SUVs are mainly from America.

Nissan Pathfinders from 2013 and 2014, Infiniti JX35s from 2013 and Infiniti QX60s from 2014 are being recalled because of brake problems. During light braking on rough roads, the antilock brake software can cause longer-than-expected stopping distances. Nissan knows of no crashes or injuries. Nissan is recalling the SUVs and will reprogram the brakes at no cost.

Nissan claimen that they had received no reports of deaths or injuries caused by the brake problems.

According to the file which Nissan provided to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Nissan will notify vehicle owners in 60 days that Nissan dealers will repair braking system for related vehicles with no fee.
