According to Brazil Steel Institute (IABr), the Brazilian steel industry expects to increase its production in Brazil in 2014.
The CEO of IABr, Mr. Marco Polo de Mello Lopes said the industry is still working on the outlook for next year, but the hope is growing.
He also said that 2013 was so bad for the industry that some investment has to postpone to 2014.
The factors of his positive expectation including the expected increase of public spending on the upcoming election and trade protection measures taken by Brazil
