It’s reported that the Indian steelmaker, Steel authority of India Limited (SAIL) announced to hike prices for both flat and long steel products by US$8~US$11/for January sales and shipments as they see the improved market situation in the new year. SAIL manufactures and sells a wide variety of steel products such as hot and cold rolled sheets and coils, galvanized sheets, electrical sheets, structural, railway products, plates, bars and rods, stainless steel and other alloy steels. Meanwhile, SAIL registered a growth of 14% in sales of saleable steel at 1.13 million tons in the month of December, 2013, as against the same month last year.
