Turkey’s exports of hot rolled coils (HRC) totaled 133,220 tons in May, slumping by 33.5% from a month ago but more than double in comparison of the figures in the same month of 2012, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). In May, the country’s HRC exports to Italy totaled 33,448 tons, slumping from 100,430 tons in April and decreasing by 14.6% year on year. In the first five months of this year, Turkey’s HRC exports amounted to 763,542 tons, more than double from the same period of 2012. |
