Steel Plate Prices in Vietnam Increased Again in Some Regions From Higher Import Quotation

Reportedly, steel plate prices on grade SS400 of thickness 14-20mm in Vietnam increased again in some regions from higher import quotations. Traders believe that the price is likely to rise further in the short term even though the demand is still weak. Prices for SS400 14-20mm is around VND13,100,000 to VND13,200,000 per ton, approximately US$616 to US$626 per ton including VAT, increasing by VND100,000/ton from last week. Most traders in Vietnam prefer to keep their offers stable for now against the rising quotations from China, Japan and South Korea on slow market. However, there is a great chance that the price to increase slightly further in the following week as the demand has shown signs of increase compare to the previous month.
