It’s reported that Gerdau Long Steel North America said that it will raise prices for merchant bars and beams and wire rods by US$10/short tons and US$30/short ton respectively.
The price rise for wire rod will become effective with new orders.
Meanwhile, the price hike for merchant bars and beams is effective with new orders placed December 13rd and later.
In addition, the orders confirmed by the end of the day Thursday will be price-protected if shipped by December 31st.
