Drink mixes and zero calorie sweeteners producer Heartland Food Products has announced plans to invest $21.2m to expand its operations in Central Indiana.
The investment will include renovation and installation of 435,000ft2 of production and distribution facilities on Indianapolis' north side.
Expected to be operational by the end of 2014, the expansions include multiple new production lines, high speed filling machines, end-of-line packaging equipment and blending equipment.
In order to meet the growth in demand for its products, the company also plans to add resources at its headquarters in Carmel.
The company has received up to $1.2m in conditional tax credits based on its job creation plans from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.
Heartland produces drink mixes and zero calorie sweeteners in a variety of versions, flavors and packaging formats.
