Trade Resources Market View Taiwanese Plate Buyers Have Cut Their Secondary Plates Purchasing Quantity From Japan

Taiwanese Plate Buyers Have Cut Their Secondary Plates Purchasing Quantity From Japan

It is said that Taiwanese steel plate buyers have cut their secondary plates purchasing quantity from Japan in this two months due to the highly offer price from Japan. The market participants said there will have about 1,000~2,000 tons secondary plates from Japan to Taiwan every month in general. However, they have not heard any import secondary plates source from Japan after this September. The market participants also point out that the current Indian plate price in Taiwan domestic market is cheaper than Japanese secondary sources; therefore, most buyers may not have interest in Japan's sources. On the other hand, it is said Taiwan' China Steel Corp. seems like very carefully on Japan's steel plate import quantity. This might be also another reason to explain the decreasing secondary plates imported from Japan.
