It is reported that Brazil, on the top the Latin American countries, exported 368,977 tons of steel to the US in October, soaring by 56.4% year on year.
In total, the US imported 617,123 tons of steel from Latin America in October, jumping by by 35.3% from 456,031 tons in the same month of 2012.
Brazil alone, has accounted for almost 60% of the steel in Latin America exporting to the US.
Mexico came next with 217,410 tons of steel exports to the US, representing 7.9% advance.
It is analyzed that by quantity, Brazil was the second largest steel exporter in the world to the US in October. Canada still remains on top while Korea and Russia comes on third and fourth with Mexico being on the fifth position.
